Both Travis and Jason Kelce were impressed by the performance of their mother, Donna Kelce, in the latest season of the American version of ‘The Traitors’.
In season four of the popular show on NBC’s streaming service, Peacock, Donna was the oldest member of the cast at age 73.
She was eliminated in episode three of the series when it was revealed that she was a ‘Secret Traitor’ – a new twist in the show where she serves as extra help to the three main traitors in the game.
On the latest episode of their ‘New Heights’ podcast, the football brothers praised the work that their mother did to help reality TV show stars-turned-traitors Rob Rausch (Love Island USA), Lisa Rinna (The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills) and Candiace Dillard Bassett (The Real Housewives of Potomac).
‘I thought she did fantastic,’ said Jason on their podcast.
‘Like, I know she was eliminated, but I think it’s really hard to go into those shows as, like, an outsider that you become, like, an easy target to try and maneuver in that show.’
Donna Kelce, the mom of NFL stars Jason and Travis Kelce, was eliminated from The Traitors
Jason admitted he was surprised by how ‘deceitful and devious’ Donna was on the program
His brother Travis was also proud, saying, ‘She looked like she was having a blast’
Jason added, ‘I loved watching her in it. She was way more deceitful and devious than I thought Mom could ever be, which was surprising.’
Meanwhile, Travis praised his mother as she ‘stood her ground’ at the round table.
‘I was so proud of her, man,’ said Travis. ‘She looked like she was having a blast enjoying it all. It was just so cool to see her in this moment.’
After her elimination, Donna remarked, ‘This has been a dream come true. These are happy tears that I get to do this at this point in my life. It’s just the joy of being in the game.’
With Donna making her exit from the show, now Travis has a decision to face with his exit from the NFL.
The 36-year-old Kansas City Chiefs tight end considered retiring after the end of last season, but chose to play in 2025.
With that season over after a humiliating campaign and no playoff run, all eyes are on Travis once again to see if he returns once again.
