Jamie Redknapp has slammed Chelsea goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen following their loss to Aston Villa.
The Blues continued their poor form as they suffered a 2-1 loss at Villa Park having initially taken the lead after nine minutes through Enzo Fernandez.
Marcos Asensio struck twice in the second-half to seal a late win for Unai Emery’s side in the race for Champions League football.
The Spaniard’s second goal came after the ball slipped through Jorgensen’s arms, with the shot stopper having recently taken Robert Sanchez spot in the Chelsea XI.
Redknapp said on Sky Sports: ‘He [Asensio] gets a good connection on it but like you say, he [Jorgensen] won’t want to see that again.
‘It’s awful goalkeeping. And they’ve obviously had a problem because both of them [Jorg and Sanchez] have made horrendous mistakes this year.

The Swedish-Danish goalkeeper recently replaced Robert Sanchez as Chelsea’s No 1
‘He hits it through. He’s got a lot of time to see it. He’s watching it, he’s watching it. I mean, it’s just horrible.
‘It’s horrible for him. It’s just one of those. I mean, I can only imagine how he feels in that dressing room now that everyone makes mistakes.
‘But when it’s a goalkeeper, it just obviously makes it so much worse. And he’ll be feeling like this was my big opportunity. What a chance I’ve got. Sanchez has been bang out of form.
‘He’s probably been sitting on the bench for ages watching and thinking, give me a chance. He’s been given one and obviously today, it hasn’t gone his way.’
Meanwhile, Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca refused to blame Jorgensen, saying ‘The keeper position is very delicate. When they make a mistake, it’s clear for everyone. Today, unfortunately, Filip did a mistake. We need to be strong all together, continue to support each other.
‘No [I don’t accept it’s a problem position], because in some games they have been brilliant both, but as I said, it’s a delicate position that when you make a mistake, it’s so clear for everyone.
‘So, as I said, we need to be strong in this moment, stick to our direction, and support each other.’
