Jake Paul reveals why Tommy Fury is preventing a rematch from happening – as he labels KSI a p***y

  • Jake Paul has revealed he’s open to a rematch with Tommy Fury
  • However, he says the British boxer has ‘priced himself out’ of another contest
  • Paul suffered his only professional boxing loss to Fury in 2023

Jake Paul has revealed he’s open to a rematch with Tommy Fury but says the British boxer has ‘priced himself out’ and insists his focus remains firmly on becoming a world champion.

Paul, who suffered his only professional boxing loss to Fury in 2023, said he’d ‘1,000 per cent’ love to avenge the defeat.

But with other high-profile opponents available and a world title on his mind, he isn’t letting the potential rematch define his career.

‘I’m on a path to World Championship, and if Tommy gets realistic, you know, we can make that happen,’ Paul said.

‘But he’s just like out priced himself. I’m the only thing that Tommy has. I don’t need Tommy. I would love to avenge the loss 1,000 per cent, but there’s 15 people with massive names waiting to fight me.’

Paul emphasised that his legacy won’t hinge on a single opponent, pointing to his accomplishments so far, including knock-out of the year honours and one of the most-watched fights in combat sports history.

‘I won knock-out of the year, most watched fight ever. The only thing left to do in the sport is to become world champion,’ he added.

Paul, who turned professional in 2020, also took the opportunity to take a jab at long-time rival KSI, suggesting the British entertainer continues to avoid a fight.

‘I’ve been in this sport for four, five and a half years. I’ve continued to fight everybody at every turn,’ Paul said.

‘I think of it like juggling, right? Like someone might not be ready to fight at one given moment. They’re doing a fight. Someone’s doing this.

This person doesn’t price themselves out. KSI is a p***y, you know, we’ve got to figure it out and see who’s ready to make it happen.’

As he prepares to face Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. this weekend, a fight that could earn him a world ranking, Paul made it clear that chasing belts now outweighs chasing names.

Still, if Tommy Fury wants a second shot, Paul says the door is open – but only at the right price.
