I’m a Celebrity’s Jack Osbourne has welcomed a baby daughter with his wife Aree Gearhart – naming the newborn after his late rock icon father Ozzy.
The Black Sabbath frontman died in July last year, aged 76, from acute myocardian infarction, having been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease six years earlier.
Eight months on from the musician’s death, Jack paid tribute to his father by naming his newborn daughter after him. Taking to Instagram on Wednesday (11 March), Osbourne wrote: “Introducing Ozzy Matilda Osbourne.”
The TV personality – best known for appearing in reality show The Osbournes with his famous family – shared a black-and-white photo of his daughter alongside a card that read ‘Hello world’, confirming that she had been born on 5 March.
The Prince of Darkness died on 22 July, just 17 days after his final Black Sabbath concert in Birmingham. His family – wife Sharon and children Kelly, Jack and Aimee – said in a statement at the time: “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning.
“He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.”
Ozzy also shared three children with his first wife, Thelma Riley, with eldest kids Jessica and Louis sharing photo tributes on Instagram.
Jack and his wife Aree, whom he married in 2023, announced in December that they were expecting their second child together.
The couple have a three-year-old, named Maple, while Osbourne is also dad to three children from his first marriage to entrepreneur Lisa Stelly.

The pregnancy news arrived shortly after Osbourne’s stint on ITV’s I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!, in which the 40-year-old finished in sixth place.
While on the show, the reality star opened up about his father’s death, telling his campmates that, despite Ozzy’s ill health, it still came as a shock to the family.
“I mean, we knew he was sick for a while, but it was definitely a shock. We didn’t know it would be that quick,” he said.
“It was the ultimate mic drop, he did a massive big gig and was like, ’Alright I’m done.’”
In September, Osbourne hit out at Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters after he made a disparaging remark about his musician dad.
Posting to his Instagram Stories, he called Waters a “c***” for saying that he “didn’t care for” Ozzy’s music or public antics.
“Hey @rogerwaters f*** you,” Jack said in his Story on Tuesday (2 September). “How pathetic and out of touch you’ve become. The only way you seem to get attention these days is by vomiting out bulls*** in the press. My father always thought you were a c*** – thanks for proving him right.”
