Carolina Reyes, a beloved influencer known as Carol the Warrior, has died after battling cancer.
The 23-year-old passed away on Wednesday, her family revealed in a statement via Instagram.
“It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our warrior,” her loved ones wrote. “She was a warrior, a brilliant person and a human being who never gave up in the face of any difficulty that came her way.”
They added, “Sadly, she passed away to be with the Lord on March 11, 2026. We ask for your sensitivity, empathy and love toward her family and friends.
“Thank you for loving her, supporting her, showing her so much affection, and always welcoming her with open arms,” the statement concluded.
The following day, Reyes’ loved ones announced a wake would be held in her honor on Thursday in Cali, Colombia.
Reyes’ final upload documented her trip to Brazil in February.
She revealed to her hundreds of thousands of followers in October 2025 that she had been to the hospital for tests due to health issues, according to the Daily Mail.
Reyes shared her cancer diagnosis on social media the following month.
She went on to document her chemotherapy treatment.
The content creator hinted at her health struggles in a lengthy December 2025 caption reflecting on her year.
She wrote, “[It was] a year that shattered me into pieces, but also taught me to rebuild myself from scratch.
“This year showed me how strong I can be, even when I felt I couldn’t go on,” Reyes continued. “And now, as I say goodbye to this year, I’m not just closing a chapter. I’m closing a chapter of myself.”
She concluded, “Even though it hurt, I’m ready to never give up again. 🙏🏽🤍💫”
