CanadianPrime MinisterJustin Trudeau said that he had done his “level best,” as he officially stepped down after nine years in office.
Trudeau’s resignation follows months of mounting pressure from within his own Liberal Party. In January, he announced his decision to step down.
“As your leader, as your prime minister, I have done my level best each and every single day to help build a country that remains worthy of all Canadians,” Trudeau said in his address.
