Bill Belichick has already moved on from UNC’s humbling loss in his first game in charge and thinks the wake up call will serve his team well moving forward.
The eight-time Super Bowl winner and his Tar Heels team were brought crashing back down to earth with the humiliating 48-14 loss to TCU on Monday night.
The blowout put a major damper on a night buzzing with optimism for the 73-year-old Belichick’s college debut, only to see the Horned Frogs dominate so thoroughly they drove UNC fans to the Kenan Stadium exits by midway through the third quarter.
To make matters worse, Michael Jordan led a star-studded crowd at the game in Chapel Hill. Belichick’s girlfriend Jordon Hudson, 24, was seen watching with former New England Patriots receiver Randy Moss.
But Daily Mail understands that Belichick is putting vastly different plans in place for his team’s matchup against the Charlotte 49ers on Saturday.
The coach also believes that UNC will come back stronger after the chastening defeat in front of their own supporters.

A source told Daily Mail: ‘Everyone is dragging Bill over the coals about his Tar Heels getting handily defeated on Monday night, but Bill sees it just as a hiccup on a long road to greener pastures.
‘He’s been in the business of coaching for a very long time and though he has seen the highest of highs, he also has seen the lowest of lows and this blowout won’t sway him on his quest to make sure the team is ready for the rest of the season.
‘Bill in a weird way feels that this loss will be a good thing, because lots of the players thought it was just going to be a forgone conclusion that they would win, but now they know they have to play like a team and execute and actually hear what Bill and the other coaches are teaching them and take it to heart.
‘This disaster of a game will be forgotten; Bill is already on to next week, and he plans things to go completely differently this time around.
‘One thing Bill is not is embarrassed, he is just disappointed but he is looking to right the ship by their next game this upcoming Saturday.’
Hudson, seemingly unable to endure her 73-year-old boyfriend’s humiliation any longer, reportedly left the stadium with seven minutes remaining on the clock in the fourth quarter.
Not that she missed much. The Horned Frogs had already scored a touchdown – their sixth of the evening – two minutes earlier, cementing the embarrassing 48-14 romp. And the Tar Heels could provide no answer as the dying minutes ticked away.
But what she had witnessed had left Hudson with a face like thunder. As TCU had continuously cut through the Tar Heels’ defense for 41 unanswered points earlier in the game, Hudson was caught looking far from impressed.

The former cheerleader had a front row seat for the display, watching on from a luxury suite where she was captured looking increasingly concerned and frustrated during the third quarter.
A nervous-looking Hudson was seen chewing lip as she agonizingly watched the on-field massacre unfold before her.
At one point, either fed up or in need of a distraction, Hudson even took a phone call, lifting her eyes to the sky in desperation.
Perhaps as Belichick’s appointed de facto publicist she was already attempting damage control, or maybe she was desperately searching for anything other than the game to occupy her thoughts.
In other snaps, Hudson, brow furrowed and looking sour-faced, leaned over the railings chatting to Moss and her fellow spectators.
Hudson, who has previously attended events wearing Belichick’s old sweaters, opted for a more subtle nod to her man in Monday’s gameday attire. Dressing in UNC’s colors, she wowed in a pair of tight-fitting, blue snake print flared trousers and a white tank top.
