- Encouraged singer to attend a Bulldogs NRL game
- Dua Lipa was performing Radical Optimism show
- British performer has two more shows left in Sydney
A footy fan has ensured he will be a legendary figure at future Canterbury NRL games after he urged Dua Lipa to attend a Bulldogs match when he got some one-on-one time with the superstar singer.
Steven Niliopoulos uploaded the TikTok footage on Wednesday – and there is no doubt he seized his moment.
The music enthusiast – whose clip has garnered 23,000 plus views in 16 hours – told the 29-year-old he was ‘having the best time of my life right now’ after the Don’t Start Now singer singled him out for a chat.
That prompted the three-time Grammy Award winner to pose the question, ‘Is there anything you think I should do while I’m out here that I shouldn’t miss?’
The Sydney Harbour Bridge climb or visiting the Opera House loomed as logical responses – but Niliopoulos instead displayed his sporting passion.
‘Oh there’s so much you got to do. Bulldogs, a Bulldogs NRL [match],’ was Niliopoulos’ reply, with the crowd roaring in response.
‘You did it Steven,’ wrote one fan in response to Niliopoulos’ TikTok clip.
‘What an amazing treat for you. I’m jealous,’ posted another.

The British performer has two shows left in Sydney on Friday and Saturday before heading to New Zealand
Whether Dua Lipa attends Canterbury’s round-four clash against Cronulla at Shark Park this weekend remains to be seen – but regardless, Niliopoulos will be popular with Bulldogs supporters after his bold suggestion.
It’s a pity Lipa missed the action at Belmore in Sydney’s south-west, which was recently transformed into a sea of blue and white following the Bulldogs’ win over the Gold Coast Titans.
The NRL club’s traditional home isn’t expected to host another match until 2027 as work is due to commence on their centre of excellence.
Following the 40-24 triumph, the surrounding streets had a wild party atmosphere you don’t find anywhere else in the NRL.
Long term supporter Aymen Hamid – better known as DJ Nemz – whipped up the elated fans after he performed an impromptu set out of a shopping trolley.
‘I only went to play for 10 or 20 minutes, but I ended up playing for an hour. I started with the Bulldogs’ anthem out the front of the stadium,’ he told the Sydney Morning Herald.
‘The trolley wasn’t from Coles or Woolies, it was actually modified to fit the speakers, but I could hardly see where I was pushing it because of all the lights from the cameras in my face.
‘We finished out the front of the Belmore Hotel.’
It comes as the Bulldogs have started their 2025 campaign in ominous form, unbeaten in three matches.
