Fully funded Hospitality Taster Programme offering industry visits, self‑employment training and mentoring

Mid and East Antrim Labour Market Partnership, in collaboration with Clanmil, is offering the opportunity to take part in an upcoming Hospitality Taster Programme.

The programme reflects the continuing growth of the tourism and hospitality sector across the Mid and East Antrim region.

Participants will visit local hospitality businesses to learn about industry standards and explore potential career paths. The programme also offers sector specific training for those interested in developing skills for self employment.

Throughout the programme, individuals will receive one to one mentoring to build confidence and provide tailored support at each stage of their employment or self employment journey.

Participants will also create an enterprise action plan, a business plan, or a personal development plan to clarify goals and outline practical next steps.

Who can apply?

Residents of Mid and East Antrim aged 17 and over who are economically inactive, long term unemployed, under employed (typically working fewer than 30 hours), or seeking to upskill can apply to the programme.

The programme is fully funded and will begin in February 2026. Attendance is flexible, but at least two training days must be completed to achieve the qualifications.
