Horrifying moment rogue goose attacks unsuspecting golfer to spark carnage on the course

A rogue goose attacked an unsuspecting golfer, causing chaos on the course in a viral video of the horrifying moment, which sent the man, holding his bag of clubs, falling backwards into the nearby water hazard.

The original video appears to be from April 5, posted to the TikTok account of college golfer Tyler Lynch.

The junior for Division-III Goucher College in Towson, Maryland repurposed the footage last month, of what appears to be teammate Samuel Tyson, hitting the water after missing a swing of his golf club at the wild goose with the caption, ‘Dear golf.’ That clip now has over 7.7million views.

In the original clip, the golfer that hit the water is referred to as ‘Sam’, pointing to Tyson, the only person with that first name on Goucher’s roster last season, who is unaware of the rouge goose who walks into his path between playing holes.

Tyson flinches when seeing the bird and retreats back a few steps to try and avoid a confrontation. That’s when the bird leaves its feet and attacks Tyson, who makes multiple unsuccessful swings to get it away.

As the swings happened, Lynch starts falling down a hill and eventually lands back first into a nearby water hazard. He remains in the water for a few seconds before jumping out and running away.

In the original video, the people behind the camera can be seen laughing at Tyson falling into the lake, which only intensifies after the goose also gets out of the lake and flies near the head of the first-year Goucher golfer.

Despite a few attempts from his team to run away from the scene, at first, Tyson stays and squares up his club at the goose.

Tyson never takes another swing at the goose, even as a second bird appears, and eventually runs away from the scene unharmed, minus him being soaked.

The original video would have placed the Goucher golf team at the Catholic Cardinal Classic on April 5, which took place at Blackrock Golf Course in Hagerstown, Maryland.

During the tournament, Tyson shot a 5-over-par, tying for 20th place at the event.

Tyson appears to have transferred away from Goucher, or is no longer part of the school’s golf team, as he is not listed on the Gophers’ roster for the upcoming season.

The video drew the attention of the official page for toilet paper brand Charmin, who said Tyson had the ‘Survival instincts of a fart.’
