Alabama’s Derek Meadows appeared to be knocked out cold on Saturday after suffering a brutal hit in his team’s game against Missouri.
The freshman made a grab over the middle of the field before he was met by a vicious hit from Missouri safety Marvin Burks Jr, who appeared to lead with his helmet into the receiver’s shoulder.
Meadows then hit his head on the turf on the way to the ground and was seen laying motionless as Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer rushed onto the field.
Meadows ultimately able to get up and walk to the locker room with the assistance of two Alabama staffers.
He was seen giving a ‘thumbs up’ sign to the Crimson Tide fans on his way off the field,
Burks, meanwhile, was ejected for targeting, while Missouri were slapped with a 15-yard-penalty as well.
