Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds has jetted in to see if Wrexham can claim their first home win back in the Championship.

Deadpool star Reynolds was in attendance for Wrexham’s first home game back in the second tier in 43 years last month, only to see the team he co-owns with actor Rob Mac lose 3-2 to West Bromwich Albion.

Reynolds is back in town for what he hopes will be second time lucky, this time with Wrexham taking on Queens Park Rangers.

But the superstar’s return to north-east Wales got off to another bad start, with Reynolds pictured watching on from the stands in a white sweater as his side went into the break 2-0 down.

Earlier in the day Reynolds took part in a meet-and-greet with Wrexham Women’s team at the club shop in the city centre.

It has been a chaotic start to the season for Wrexham, who got their first Championship win away at Millwall just before the international break.

There have been 13 new arrivals to the tune of £32million, with Reynolds and Mac sanctioning three Deadline Day moves in Ben Sheaf (£6.5m), Dom Hyam (£2.7m) and a loan move for Issa Kabore from Manchester City.

Speaking to Sky Sports during his last visit for the West Brom game, Reynolds explained his role on the football side.

‘We have a very hands-off management style,’ Deadpool star Reynolds said.

‘Our job is to listen, learn, and tell the story. And that is a great position for any ownership group to be in, to really just be there to support and tell the story.

‘We don’t make football decisions. And actually the great gift of that is that we’re able to have relationships with the players at Wrexham, whereas most people in our position can’t.

‘So we have a relationship with every single one of our players.’
