Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen isn’t heading to New Orleans for the Super Bowl but he might soon be Hollywood-bound for a red carpet appearance.
According to a report in Life and Style magazine, the NFL star has been identified by movie executives as a contender to swap football for acting.
Allen’s profile has been growing off the field, in no small part to his recent engagement with Hailee Steinfeld. But even before that, he had reportedly been identified by Hollywood as a star of the future.
And while Allen recently lost to Travis Kelce and the Chiefs in the AFC Championship, movie executives think Allen could thrive ahead of Kelce due to the coverage of his relationship with Taylor Swift.
The publication quoted a source as saying: ‘Even before he and Hailee became an item, Josh was emerging as one of Hollywood’s most interesting football stars, especially for studio executives who are dismissive of the hype around Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift‘s relationship.
‘Josh has the total package, from primetime worthy football highlights to matinee idol good looks, and Hailee has already managed to have a very impressive crossover career where she can effortlessly move from music to movies and back again.’

And while Allen’s relationship with Steinfeld isn’t the deal-breaker for any Hollywood aspirations, it isn’t harming his chances, either.
The source added: ‘They’re an especially great match because both of them are extremely level-headed and relentlessly focused on the long game.
‘This relationship isn’t a flash in the pan, they’re planning on turning this into a healthy marriage and starting a family together, and when Josh is ready, the gates of Hollywood are going to open up for him, big time.’
Kelce has made no secret of his Hollywood aspirations and recently filmed his cameo appearance in the upcoming movie Happy Gilmore 2.
He also took a role in the horror series Grotesquerie and has hosted ‘Are You Smarter than a Celebrity?’ on Amazon Prime.
But right now, Kelce’s focus goes no further than the football field, ahead of the Super Bowl in Louisiana on February 9.
The Chiefs face the Philadelphia Eagles, with a win for Kelce’s team seeing them enter the history books as the first franchise in the Super Bowl era to win three straight titles.
Allen, meanwhile, is yet to win the Super Bowl and has been knocked out of the playoffs in four of the last five seasons by Kelce and the Chiefs.

‘It’s not fun,’ Allen said after the latest loss. ‘To be the champs, you have to beat the champs, and we didn’t do it tonight.’
Kelce made his respect for Allen clear in the lead-up to the game, saying: ‘Josh is who I used to dream about being like in the NFL.
‘Big athletic quarterback, big arm, being able to be a dual-threat guy. I never had the arm talent that Josh had so they kicked me over to tight end.
“His ability to do everything, you could tell he really took the bull from the horns and been their leader upfront and channeled that. Guys come in and out that building and he’s the main piece making things go week and week out. I got so much respect for that guy.’
