Hockey legend Chris Chelios has slashed the asking price of his Malibu mansion – but it will still cost prospective buyers an eye-watering $60million.
Chelios previously listed the four-bedroom waterfront estate for $75millon in 2023, though it failed to sell at that price.
Now, as TMZ have reported, Chelios has offered something of a discount on the stunning home, which is 3,795 square feet, has five bathrooms and sits on the city’s exclusive Paradise Cove, through Carl Gambino and John Bercsi of The Gambino Group at Compass.
The Hall of Famer previously dropped the asking price of the home to $67.5million in February 2024, and the latest price still represents a rate of over $15,000 per square foot.
The home was snapped up by the former Blackhawks star in 2003 for a relatively modest $6million.
The three-story main house (there is also a guest house on the property) boasts high ceilings and a sitting area that offers an impressive view of the ocean.

Also included is a deck complete with a hot-tub right on the beach, as the home is part of a small number in the area – commonly called Billionaire’s Bluff – that sit directly on the sand.
The home also features a loft-style bedroom on its top floor, as well as multiple balconies and its own private stretch of sand.
A private stairway also leads down to a one-bedroom guest house situated right on the sand.
Chelios previously explained to the Wall Street Journal that he and his wife decided to sell the property because their four children are grown and live on on the East Coast. He added that they want a vacation home closer to their adult kids near Lake Michigan.
He also cited the fact that the pair are now grandparents, when explaining his decision to part with the property – which has multiple skylights, a fireplace and a wall of windows that opens onto the Pacific.
Chelios revealed that he received an unprecedented deal back in 2003 when purchasing the .4 acre property due to the seller being ‘a friend of a friend.’
‘He gave me the deal of the century,’ Chelios said of the transaction.

Over the course of a legendary 26-year career, Chelios, now 63, played for the Blackhawks, Canadiens, Red Wings and Atlanta Thrashers before retiring in 2010.
He is a three-time Stanley Cup champion, a seven-time All-Star and is 118th all-time in NHL points.
Chelios then transitioned to a career as an analyst for ESPN, but was a casualty of the company’s widespread layoffs in the summer of 2023.
He now works as a pundit for NHL on TNT and Blackhawks coverage on NBC Sports Chicago.
