The married executives of Mansfield Town were interrupted by their son and pet dog in a chaotic interview after the club were drawn against Arsenal in the FA Cup.

John, 60, and Carolyn Radford, 43, who are the owner and CEO of the League One side respectively, sat down with Sky Sports to discuss the blockbuster fifth-round tie against the Premier League pacesetters.

But while in front of the cameras amid the backdrop of their lavish 10-bedroom mansion, their interview was hilariously gatecrashed.

While Carolyn was explaining how thrilled she was with the ‘dream’ draw against the Gunners, which will take place on the weekend of March 7, one of their sons ran behind the shot head-to-toe in Arsenal kit.

This prompted the husband-and-wife to look to their left before letting out a chuckle as Carolyn explained: ‘I think that was one of our boys because actually, they support Arsenal as well!’

The interview then cut to Carolyn talking about how the tie will boost Mansfield’s economy, before their dog Casper enters the frame and begins chewing her blazer.

One of the most chaotic Sky Sports interviews you are ever likely to see! 😆

Carolyn let out an ‘ouch’ as she tried to continue her point before John jumped in to say: ‘She’s being attacked by the dog.’

John is then tasked with continuing the conversation but he is once again interrupted by Casper, who jumps on him and Carolyn.

‘Casper! Casper!’ John says, letting out a fit of laughter during the bungling interview.

Carolyn then added: ‘We’re just trying to train him at the moment. As you can see it’s not going as well as our football career.’

Mansfield, who are managed by Nigel Clough, found themselves in the hat for the next round of the FA Cup after pulling off a shock 2-1 victory over Burnley on Saturday.

The club have been promoted twice since John took ownership of the club in 2010, first from the National League in 2013 and League Two in 2024.

John made Carolyn the club’s CEO before they tied the knot in July 2012. They now share three sons, Hugo, and twins Rupert and Albert, together.

Carolyn previously appeared on Channel 5 show Billionaire Babies, where she threw her kids a lavish £10,000 circus-themed birthday party inside Mansfield’s stadium Field Mill.

‘That party was for a TV show,’ she previously told The Sun. ‘We were told to create a birthday party and then do all these kind of lavish things and it was set at the football club.’

She also told the newspaper how football is one of the only things that causes an argument with her husband, who she shares a reported wealth of £155million with.

‘It’s like being stabbed in the chest when we lose,’ Carolyn said in 2024. ‘It’s hard to manage that emotion and not blame each other.

‘John blames me and then I blame myself because you have all these weird superstitions so I think, “Oh gosh, I should have made a cup of tea at a different time”. The kids hate losing as well. It just affects the whole family dynamic.’

Businessman John also owns One Call Insurance, which sponsors the club and where Carolyn also works as a lawyer. She had worked there before meeting John.

Mansfield’s clash against Arsenal is the first time the sides have faced each other since 1929, and will be played at Field Mill.
