A high-profile AFL WAG has come under scrutiny after posting a sponsored ‘fit check’ video ahead of the traditional Anzac Round clash at the MCG.

Annalise Dalins shared a ‘get ready with me’ video on social media as she prepared to attend the Anzac Day match between Collingwood Football Club and Essendon Football Club with her fiancé, Josh Daicos.

The video, which included an #ad disclosure, opened with Dalins acknowledging the significance of the day.

‘As today is a super important special day it all just hits a little bit different paying our respects and really taking a moment to reflect,’ she said.

The clip then shifted to outfit commentary, with Dalins discussing her clothing choices and the warm weather conditions in Melbourne.

‘Melbourne has really delivered with the weather, it is the most beautiful afternoon,’ she said.

‘I was planning on wearing this coat because I thought it would be freezing cold and it is like such a moment, however it is so warm, she won’t be coming with me this week.’

Dalins also spoke about styling elements in the video, including footwear choices, explaining it was good ‘to wear a point’ high heel shoe to ‘elongate her legs’ with her skirt.

In a separate Instagram story, she promoted beauty products and fragrance, writing: ‘Off to Anzac Day yesterday wearing my fav @glossier ‘You Doux’ fragrance a part of @gemdimond selection,’ alongside a #gift tag.

The ‘fit check’ video drew a mix of reactions from viewers after being posted, with a number of critical comments appearing beneath the clip.

‘Monetizing for a little fit check off Anzac Days,’ one comment read.

‘But wait. Let’s go pies. This is horrible and very poor taste.’

Another wrote: ‘This is putrid. they way the intro was I though you actually [meant] it was a special day and you were going to reflect at a local dawn service lol but you turned it into a day about dressing up for footy lol.’

A separate comment read: ‘Lest We Forget. The only note.’

Another user added: ‘You gotta be a special type of ignorant and out of touch to think this was a good idea or remotely respectful. You’re an absolute goose.’

The negative comments have since been removed from the post.

The post was shared as Dalins prepared to attend the match involving her fiancé, with Daicos taking the field for Collingwood in front of a crowd of 92,231 at the MCG.

Collingwood recorded a 77-point victory over Essendon, winning 20.17 (137) to 9.6 (60) in the annual Anzac Day clash.

Dalins attended the match following her recent engagement to Daicos, which took place during a holiday in Greece.

The proposal occurred at a coastal location, with both sharing images from the moment on social media.

‘It has been the craziest few weeks of my life. It has been so amazing,’ Dalins said.

‘It’s been so special to kind of have that love bubble in Greece, and now come home and share it with our family and friends.

‘We’ve been, you know, so spoiled with so many beautiful messages. And we just feel so lucky. All the messages have meant so much to us.’

Daicos also posted about the proposal, writing: ‘The happiest day of our lives. My girl for a lifetime.’

The couple have been together for approximately three years after first connecting on Instagram and later meeting in person. Dalins is a former Miss Universe Australia runner-up and works as a model while studying commerce.

Collingwood’s win was headlined by Pendlebury’s 43-disposal performance, the highest tally of his 431-game career.

Nick Daicos added 42 touches and eight clearances, while Jordan De Goey finished with three goals in a dominant team display.

Essendon showed early resistance but fell away after half-time as the Magpies piled on nine final-quarter goals.
