Shane Richardson’s final social media post has come to light after the British Superbikes rider was involved in a fatal crash on Monday evening.
Richardson, 29, and Owen Jenner, 21, tragically died after a collision led to the British Superbikes event at Oulton Park being cancelled.
The horrific incident saw eleven riders fall at turn one of the race on Monday. Medical personnel quickly rushed to the scene and the event was cancelled.
Jenner was treated at trackside but died of a ‘catastrophic’ head injury despite further resuscitation treatment at the circuit’s medical centre.
Richardson was also treated at the course before being transferred to Royal Stoke University Hospital with severe chest injures. He died prior to arrival.
Now, Richardson’s final post on social media has emerged and it’s left fans heartbroken as the mourn the Superbikes star.

Eleven different riders were involved in the incident at the first turn of the race on Monday
Less than 24 hours before the race, Richardson has taken to Instagram to repost a previous interview where he spoke of his excitement to get out on the track.
The 29-year-old had said: ‘Sprint race was good. Bad start, went backwards quite a few positions.
‘But we managed to figure it out, get some good consistent pace going, matching the times with a few of the boys ahead of us.
‘So yeah, looking forward to tomorrow, hopefully get a better start and be a bit more in the mix.’
The harrowing scenes on Monday were caught live on TV as one rider lost control coming out of the first turn, leading them to skid across the tarmac and into another competitor.
Now Cheshire Constabulary have confirmed that an investigation into the crash is underway, in coordination with the Coroner and racing authorities.
‘Police are investigating two deaths on behalf of the coroner following a multiple collision at Oulton Park this afternoon – Monday 5 May,’ a police spokesperson said.
Meanwhile, in an official statement, MotorSport Vision Racing (MSVR) confirmed the terrible news that both Jenner and Richardson had passed away.
The statement began: ‘At the start of this afternoon’s Quattro Group British Supersport Championship race at Oulton Park, exiting turn one, Old Hall corner on the first lap, there was a chain reaction incident involving 11 riders falling.
‘The race was immediately stopped and trackside medical services deployed.

‘Due to the extreme severity of the incident and ongoing medical intervention, the remainder of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship event was cancelled.
‘This catastrophic accident has tragically resulted in two riders being fatally injured, and another sustaining significant injuries.’
On Jenner, the statement went on: ‘Owen Jenner (21) was initially treated trackside and then taken to the circuit medical centre, where despite further resuscitation treatment, he died from a catastrophic head injury.’
Richardson was then confirmed to have also passed away.
The statement added: ‘Shane Richardson (29) was initially treated trackside and then taken to the circuit medical centre before being transferred to Royal Stoke University Hospital with severe chest injuries. He died prior to arrival.’
Fellow rider Tom Tunstall sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital.
The statement continued: ‘Tom Tunstall (47) was initially treated on the track and was taken to the circuit medical centre, he was later transferred to Royal Stoke University Hospital with significant back and abdominal injuries.
‘A further five riders were transferred to the circuit medical centre with minor injuries, which did not require transfer to hospital. These riders were #9 Carl Harris, #39 Max Morgan, #48 Cameron Hall, #78 Freddie Barnes, #95 Morgan McLaren-Wood.
‘Three further riders were also involved but were uninjured. These riders were #25 Lewis Jones, #37 Corey Tinker and #90 George Edwards.
‘The Motorcycle Circuit Racing Control Board and MotorSport Vision Racing are investigating the full circumstances of the incident in conjunction with the Coroner and Cheshire Constabulary. Further statements will be issued when available.’

A statement from Cheshire Constabulary said: ‘Police are investigating two deaths on behalf of the coroner following a multiple collision at Oulton Park this afternoon (Monday 5 May).
‘Emergency services were called to the scene following the collision which resulted in two riders being fatally injured and another with serious injuries.
‘Due to the severity of the incident and ongoing medical intervention, the remainder of the event was cancelled. The two riders who sadly died have been named as Owen Jenner (21) and Shane Richardson (29).
‘The Motorcycle Circuit Racing Control Board and MotorSport Vision Racing are investigating the full circumstances of the incident in conjunction with the Coroner and Cheshire Police.’
