Cheltenham Borough Council is inviting residents, visitors and businesses to share their views on how the town can use its rich heritage to shape a vibrant future

A new public questionnaire aims to gather ideas and opinions on how to discover, learn, celebrate and protect Cheltenham’s history, culture and environment.

From its rise as a spa town to becoming the hub of cyber security that it is today, Cheltenham has a unique and evolving story and through your voice, the Council wants to help preserve and share the experiences of all communities, past and present to help shape the future.

Cllr Izaac Tailford, cabinet member for economic development, wellbeing, culture and public realm open space, said: “Cheltenham’s heritage is what connects our past, present and future and every chapter of our story deserves to be discovered, learned from, celebrated and protected.

“This questionnaire is an opportunity for everyone to help shape how we tell Cheltenham’s story and ensure our heritage continues to inspire future generations. Whether it’s conserving our historic buildings, protecting green spaces or uncovering untold stories from our diverse communities, we want to hear your views on how Cheltenham’s past can guide its future.”

To learn together, to discover and explore, to celebrate and to protect and enhance are the key themes for Cheltenham’s heritage project. The questionnaire is available until Monday 15 December at 11:59pm.
