Inclusive workplace toolkit will help employers attract, retain, and advance women in the hospitality and tourism industry.
Women Breaking Barriers in partnership with Hospitality and Tourism Skills (HATS) and People 1st International has published a simple toolkit to help employers develop strategies for attracting, retaining, and advancing women in the hospitality and tourism sector.
The toolkit is designed to help employers create a more inclusive workplace environment with actionable steps and resources for building a more equitable and supportive workplace. The guide highlights the challenges and opportunities for women in this industry to help employers identify areas where they can help.
Attract, retain, and support women in the workplace
The guide focuses on four key areas
- Attraction – strategies to draw women into the sector
- Recruitment – how to adopt inclusive practices
- Retention – ways to keep women in the workplace
- Progression – ideas and initiatives to support career development for women
The toolkit also provides case study examples from Northern Ireland businesses in how they excel in these areas.
