Support for social purpose organisations offering financial and practical business assistance to prepare for and activate investment.

Eligibility criteria

The Growth Impact Fund is for all social purpose organisations operating in consumer business, education and learning, employment and training, and health and social care.

Legal

  • Are legally registered in the UK as a company or a charity.
  • Supports all legal structures.

Growth

  • Have demonstrated proof of concept by generating some trading revenue already.
  • Are looking to significantly grow trading income and social impact.
  • Are interested in seeking funding as a repayable investment.

Impact

  • Demonstrate that organisational focus is on tackling inequity for marginalised people in the UK.
  • Organisations that primarily serve individuals experiencing one or a combination of socio-economic disadvantage, racism and exclusion experienced by racialised communities, Gender discrimination, LGBTQIA+ discrimination, place-based deprivation, and disability discrimination.
  • Directly tackling inequity through products, services, training, or employment.

Additional information

The fund provides support preparing for investment

  • Grant funding to access guidance and support services in preparation for investment or to cover personal expenses through the process, for example, childcare.
  • A dedicated portfolio manager for support through each step of the process.
  • Investment templates and resources to guide and give transparency across the due diligence process.

It also provides support to activate investment

  • One-to-one support from a portfolio manager to help achieve growth ambitions.
  • Access to a professional network, alumni, and opportunities for additional funding to continue growth.
  • Access to pro bono legal support, corporate coaching, and mentorship.
  • Additional grant support (if needed) for growth activities outside the scope of the investment.
