The Grand National is one of the most eagerly-anticipated events in the sporting calendar, with around 150,000 fans set to be in attendance.
Intense Raffles has been predicted to add to his Irish Grand National success from last year by landing the biggest prize in horse racing.
The star – who is trained by Thomas Gibney – is the number one option to win the Grand National.

Grand National 2025 start time
The main event of this weekend is part of a meet that lasts three days and gets underway on Thursday.
This year’s race is set to start at 4pm on Saturday April 4.
It will last for around 10 minutes – encompassing the famous fences of Becher’s Brook, Canal Turn and Valentine’s Brook which will be jumped twice.
How to watch Grand National 2025
Once again, the 2025 Grand National will be available to watch on terrestrial television, meaning it can be viewed free of charge.
It will be shown on ITV 1, with the race also available to watch on the provider’s streaming platform ITVX.
