Golf fans have dug up a TikTok posted by Bryson DeChambeau earlier this year after his worrying major championship form continued at the PGA Championship.

The LIV Golf star faces a fight to make the weekend at Aronimink after an opening-round 76 left him at six over par – nine shots off the leaders.

DeChambeau also struggled at last month’s Masters, where he arrived as one of the favorites only to miss the cut after a disastrous couple of days at Augusta.

His struggles on golf’s biggest stages come as DeChambeau continues to build his side-hustle as a social media star.

The American has built 5million followers across YouTube and TikTok thanks to entertaining golf videos featuring the likes of Donald Trump and Kevin Hart.

Back in January, he posted a bizarre video of himself dancing in front of his Christmas tree. ‘How life feels right now,’ DeChambeau posted alongside the clip, which has amassed nearly 4m views.

Four months on, the video has reappeared on social media in the wake of his opening-round disaster at Aronimink.

‘Bryson has not shot under par at a Major since releasing this video,’ one fan wrote. In fact, the American is 12 over par across three rounds at the majors in 2026.

‘I’m still in awe of the fact that he: came up with this idea, recorded all of these moves, edited them together, watched it… and still hit post,’ said another.

‘I do hope he isn’t choosing YouTube over golfing legacy,’ added a third. ‘Such a talent.’

DeChambeau has won or finished third in four of his six last LIV tournaments but his long-term future is uncertain after Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund announced it would stop funding the rebel tour beyond this season.

He wasn’t the only big name to struggle on Thursday. Rory McIlroy is four over par after dropping shots on each of his final four holes.

When asked to assess his opening round, the Masters champion said simply: ‘S***.’
