Indiana Fever star Sophie Cunningham recently revealed the one major dealbreaker that would automatically prevent her from dating a man.
The outspoken WNBA star has never been shy to discuss her dating life, especially on her podcast ‘Show Me Something.’
On an episode earlier in the week, Cunningham and her co-host, West Wilson, responded to a question from a fan who initially declined a date with a prospective partner they met through a dating app – only to change their mind after meeting the other in person.
‘That’s when dating apps and technology are ruining stuff. If you like him in person, don’t overthink a stupid f***ing app,’ Wilson said in response to the question.
Cunningham added, ‘Agree. Because, speaking for the girls, guys are kind of uglier in pictures. They don’t do them justice, I feel like. So when you meet them in person, it’s like, “Oh, wait. You could be cuter.”‘
Another fan then mentioned he was interested in taller women and asked how to get their attention.
Indiana Fever star Sophie Cunningham said that she couldn’t date a man shorter than her
The 6-foot-1 star admitted ‘I want someone who is going to make me feel smaller’
Wilson encouraged the fan, saying he’s going to meet a ‘tall queen’ one day.
However, the 6-foot-1 Cunningham admitted that she is not the person to ask for encouragement about this.
‘I don’t think I’m the right tall person to ask, because I could never date someone shorter than me,’ Cunningham noted.
‘Because I’m already big. So, I want someone who is going to make me feel smaller.
‘But there are so many guys who have taller girls! I think people have really good energy, and I love so many people. I just can’t, I would just feel like the man in my relationship.’
The Missouri native then suggested that the fan should attend a beach volleyball event in order to find a taller woman.
Cunningham’s WNBA season hangs in the balance of an ongoing collective bargaining agreement negotiation which is already threatening to cancel the first games of the season.
