Glamorous NRLW star Jaime Chapman has revealed how she went through hell to get back on the field less than two months after breaking her back.
Chapman, 23, fractured the L2 vertebrae in her lower lumbar spine when playing for the Indigenous All Stars against the Maori All Stars at CommBank Stadium in Parramatta on February 15.
Scans the following day revealed the fracture – and for the next fortnight, Chapman barely moved as she looked to recover as quick as possible.
‘I’ve never broken a bone before, so [it was a] pretty hectic one,’ she told News Corp.
‘It was quite painful. The way I pulled up extremely sore the next day I knew something was wrong.
‘I was stressed about Origin, will I be OK for NRLW….[in the end] I was very lucky with the type of break that it was and where it was.’

With competition for spots fierce ahead of the Origin campaign this year, the NSW Blues flyer quickly got to work.
Initial running has since turn into full contact, with Chapman aware she has a battle on her hands to nail down a starting spot on the wing.
She is showcasing her commitment by flying from the Gold Coast to Sydney three times a week for training under new coach John Strange.
Add in Chapman’s community work with the Titans – and she is a busy lady.
The Women’s State of Origin series begins with game one in Brisbane at Suncorp Stadium come May 1, with game two (May 15, Allianz Stadium, Sydney) before game three (May 29, McDonald Jones Stadium, Newcastle).
From July 3, the NRLW competition kicks-off, with Chapman’s Titans starting their season on the road against North Queensland.
Off the field, Chapman has found love with Dolphins excitement machine Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow.
The couple went public in December last year – and footy fans were elated.

After her injury, Chapman feared her Origin and NRLW 2025 campaigns were over, but after she was cleared to train by doctors, the winger got to work

‘Most athletic child in the world,’ one supporter wrote in response.
Another said: ‘Move over Nathan & Mary’, a cheeky comparison to Panthers superstar Nathan Cleary and his girlfriend, Matildas and Manchester City attacking ace Mary Fowler.
A third posted: ‘They will have the fastest babies.’
Chapman was raised at Sutherland in Sydney’s south before moving north to pursue her footy career.
She linked up with the Broncos in 2022 then shifted to the Gold Coast, where Chapman played in the 2023 NRLW Grand Final.
Her ability to find the line in clutch moments was on full display after scoring a hat-trick in the decider for the Titans – but Newcastle ran out 24-18 winners on the day.
