Despite tearing his Achilles tendon in the NFC Wild Card round of the playoffs, San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle still managed to get himself out on the golf course with his buddies.

Kittle’s injury left the already hampered Niners down yet another target, leading to their eventual elimination in the Divisional round the week after.

Some of his teammates decided to have a day out on the course to de-compress after a long and stressful NFL season. Kittle made sure he could join them.

Of course, he couldn’t swing a golf club like his teammates Brock Purdy, Christian McCaffrey, Kyle Juszczyk and Trent Taylor.

Instead, a shirtless Kittle was seen riding around on a golf cart following his buddies around. Except, he still found a way to ‘hit’ a few balls.

In a post to his Instagram story, Kittle was seen in the cart with a cast on his foot before using a tool known as a ‘swingless’ golf club. The tight end was seen launching a ball off the fairway without moving a muscle.

The invention from a start-up company called ‘Power2Golf’ allows people without the ability to swing clubs the chance to still play a round.

Kittle even shouted out the company on Instagram, posting, ‘thanks for keeping me in the game from the cart!’

The device, which costs $1,500 and was invented by a rocket scientist, allows minimal human exertion to launch the golf ball.

Instead of performing a full rotation, all one needs to do is line the club behind the ball and press a button.

It works by the use of ‘power strips’ – which essentially are powder-filled cartridges that operate in a similar manner to a firearm – causing a chain reaction that propels a ‘striker plate’ to hit the ball for you.

The club is an all-in-one too – with a dial adjusting the ‘power’ of the club from a range of 50 yards up to 225 yards, according to the company website.

Kittle has dealt with a plethora of serious injuries over the past few seasons that have nearly de-railed his progress.

In Week 1 of the season, he suffered a grade three hamstring tear that forced him to miss five games of the Niners’ campaign, and then he picked up a left ankle sprain in December that ruled him out of another game.

Last season he also missed Weeks 3 and 11 with a recurring thigh injury.
