Explore global opportunities in health technology

Innovate UK is inviting UK SMEs working in health and medical technologies to apply for the Global Business Innovation Programme in Singapore.

Selected businesses will take part in a structured programme designed to accelerate international growth and collaboration. The programme includes a preparation phase, a tailored five-day market visit to Singapore, and post-visit support to help businesses build partnerships and scale globally.

Focus areas

Applications are invited from businesses working in areas including (but not limited to)

  • medical devices like diagnostic, surgical, dental, and wound care products
  • in-vitro diagnostics such as blood testing kits and molecular diagnostics
  • therapeutic devices including infusion pumps, respiratory and cardiovascular devices
  • implants and biocompatible devices like cardiac and neurostimulation implants
  • health monitoring and wearable devices, telemedicine, etc
  • robotic and AI-assisted devices such as robotic surgery systems and AI diagnostic tools

The competition does not cover therapeutics and medicines (eg vaccines, antibiotics, cell and gene therapies) or sterilisation and infection control products (eg autoclaves, disinfectants, PPE).

Why Singapore

UK businesses have great opportunities to work with Singapore in health and medical technologies. Singapore’s 2025 plan focuses on healthcare innovation like data-driven care, disease prevention, telemedicine, and precision medicine – areas where UK businesses can contribute and grow.

With the Asia-Pacific MedTech market expected to reach US$225 billion by 2030, Singapore offers UK businesses a strong base to access this fast-growing region. Innovate UK and Enterprise Singapore provide joint funding and support to help UK firms develop partnerships, enter new markets, and create innovative health technologies together.

Benefits of applying

Participants will get a chance to

  • explore health and medical technology opportunities in Singapore
  • understand the challenges and opportunities of doing business in Singapore
  • gather insight on what is required to take a healthcare technology solution to market
  • engage with potential collaborators and partners, and build networks
  • receive support from Innovate UK experts

Applications close on Sunday 24 August 2025.
