Opportunity for Northern Ireland game and interactive creators

Northern Ireland Screen has opened applications for its Interactive Development funding call, aimed at Northern Ireland-based companies creating new interactive projects.

Priority will be given to video game development, but immersive, augmented and extended reality projects are also eligible.

The Interactive Development fund supports single projects with a development period of at least three months between December 2025 and March 2026. Projects must have a total budget of at least £25,000, with up to £20,000 requested from Northern Ireland Screen.

Companies must contribute at least £2,500 in cash and £2,500 in-kind (including time, services or equipment donated). Applicants must deliver a fully playable vertical slice, gameplay footage, high-quality stills, a pitch deck, and a detailed marketing plan with a clear route to market. Reporting requirements include financial evidence for costs.

Applications close at 5pm on Friday 24 October 2025.
