Fulham 0-1 Man United: Manchester United recorded just their fifth Premier League win under Ruben Amorim courtesy of a late goal from Lisandro Martinez.
After maintaining their undefeated record in Europe with a win over Rangers in the Europa League in midweek, Amorim’s side entered the clash at Craven Cottage.
Ultimately though chances would prove hard to come by for both teams in what was a drab first half in west London.
Any hopes that the game would spring into life after the interval were quickly dashed however, as quality was largely in short supply.
The game was anyone’s to win heading into the closing stages, and United got the stroke of luck they so desperately needed when Lisandro Martinez’s deflected effort found its way in.
The Cottagers pushed for an equaliser late on and were denied by a last-ditch goal-line clearance by substitute Toby Collyer.
