Training programme to help strengthen the skills of voluntary and community groups involved in planning and delivering events
Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, in partnership with Fermanagh and Omagh Policing and Community Safety Partnership (PCSP) and APEX Housing Association, has launched a suite of free training sessions to support voluntary and community organisations.
The sessions will provide participants with the tools and confidence to deliver safer, more successful events.
Mastering Social Media for Event Success
This online training session will delve into how to use social media effectively to promote events, increase engagement, and boost attendance.
Events will take place on Thursday 1 May 2025 from midday to 2pm, or Thursday 6 May 2025 from 630pm to 830pm. Participants can choose one of these two dates.

- Creating engaging promotional content
- Developing multi-channel strategies
- Managing posts during and after your event
Effective Fundraising for Community Groups
Sponsored by APEX Housing Association and delivered by NICVA, this three-part series of in-person events will help organisations build sustainable fundraising strategies.
The training will be held at the Strule Arts Centre, Omagh, on the following dates. Participants can choose to attend one, two, or all sessions based on their needs.

Free Stewarding Training for Event Management
Delivered by Proficiency Training and organised by PCSP, this in-person training is ideal for groups involved in event coordination.
Topics include crowd control, traffic management, conflict resolution, and emergency response.
This training will be held at the Bawnacre Centre, Irvinestown on Thursday 8 May 2025, or Monday 9 June 2025 from 7pm to 10pm. Participants can choose one of these two dates.
