France winger Louis Bielle-Biarrey has been named the 2026 Six Nations Player of the Championship, winning the award for the second successive year.

The 22-year-old secured 44 percent of the fan vote, beating off Italy’s Tomasso Menoncello, Ireland centre Stuart McCloskey and Scotland winger Kyle Steyn to the crown.

Bielle-Biarrey was integral to France’s title triumph, scoring nine tries across the campaign, four of which came in their last-gasp 48-46 win over England to ensure the Les Blues topped the pile.

“I’m just really happy, honestly. It’s yet another reward for the team’s hard work throughout the tournament,” he said.

“We were able to defend our title. Winning the tournament two years in a row is no small feat. We’re very happy to have done it.”

Taking his all-time Six Nations try tally to 18, the Bordeaux Begles star set the record for most tries scored in a single Championship and is already ranked fifth among the Six Nations all-time leading try scorers.

The rise of Bielle-Biarrey has come at a fittingly blistering pace, setting the global stage alight for France at the Under-18 and Under-20 level, before breaking into the senior team aged 19 in 2023.

Now with back-to-back Player of the Championship awards, Bielle-Biarrey emulates the feat of France team-mate Antoine Dupont who claimed the accolade in 2022 and 2023.
