Fox Sports expert Chris Fallica accused Donald Trump of ‘bending the knee’ to Russia and Vladimir Putin in a surprise attack on the US president.
In a dramatic move on Monday, the United States split with its European allies by refusing to blame Russia for the invasion of Ukraine in votes on three UN resolutions seeking an end to the conflict.
The US instead joined Russia in voting against a Ukrainian resolution that calls out Moscow’s aggression and demands an immediate withdrawal of Russian troops.
Following the news, Fallica – also known as ‘The Bear’ – condemned Trump in a post on social media.
The Fox Sports ‘wagering expert’ contrasted America’s stance today to the Cold War era, writing: ‘Bending the knee to Putin and Russia is quite the 180.
‘Imagine telling Reagan and the Republicans of that era this,’ he added in a rare attack by a Fox employee.

Despite criticism from Trump, who previously claimed ‘Fox News has totally lost its way’, the network has typically backed the Republican president.
Fox News and Fox Sports are both owned by the Murdoch family. They are technically distinct wings of the media empire, however.
Fallica, who has previously commented on political topics, joined Fox from ESPN back in 2023. He has won multiple Sports Emmy awards.
Trump, meanwhile, has been at the center of sports again on Monday, after it emerged that the Philadelphia Eagles do plan on visiting the White House to celebrate their second Super Bowl victory – provided the team receives an invitation.
Both NFL Network and ESPN reported that the Eagles would be ‘honored’ to visit the Trump White House.
There had been speculation the team would skip a meeting with President Trump. The Eagles famously did not go to Trump’s White House after winning their first Lombardi Trophy in 2018.
Responding to rumors of a potential player boycott, Trump disinvited the team from the customary White House visit.
