Ex-NBA star Christian Wood has accused his ex-girlfriend Yasmine Lopez of putting a tracking device in their child’s diaper bag in an attempt to find out his address.

On January 6th, according to US Weekly, Wood filed court documents that alleged a tracking device was found by his sister, shortly after a recent custody exchange.

In the documents, Wood claimed: ‘The tracking device was carefully hidden inside Kobe’s diaper bag with the intent to not be found.

‘It was not visible or ever disclosed, and I have not authorized any tracking device being placed in Kobe’s belongings.’

‘Based on the concealment of the tracking device, it was placed for the purpose of tracking my movements and location through Kobe.

‘This would give [Lopez] confidential information, identifying my residence and whereabouts. The court has ordered that [Lopez] is prohibited from obtaining this information.’

As per the court documents, Lopez denied Wood’s claim that she was tracking him.

The couple began dating in August 2022 before announcing their split in December that same year. Together, they share two-year-old son Kobe.

The latest developments come after Wood was granted sole custody of Kobe, after he filed a restraining order against Lopez back in November 2025.

Wood, who spent a decade in the NBA and played for the likes of the Lakers, filed for the restraining order shortly after he suffered a break-in at his LA home.

Wood was at his Sherman Oaks home when three people broke through the back door around 1pm, KTLA reported.

According to Los Angeles police, Wood fired three rounds of ammunition into the ground to scare off the intruders before they fled.

In his original filing back in November, Wood alleged that he believed his ex-girlfriend, Lopez, may have known about the break-in attempt prior to it happening.

In court documents, Wood alleged that Lopez had been ‘extremely vague and would not agree to any visitation for that week’.

He also alleged that Lopez finally agreed that he could pick up their son, Kobe, from school on November 4th. However when he arrived, he alleges, he was told that Lopez had already collected their son.

In court documents, Wood said: ‘Ms. Lopez’s decision to keep our son away from me now stands out as alarming to me, given what occurred the very next day’.

Wood suffered the break-in at his LA home on November 5th.

Describing the incident, in his original court filing, Wood said: ‘I cautiously exited the restroom and immediately saw three men trying to break into my home.

‘In fear for my life, I quickly ran to obtain a firearm I keep locked in my home. I discharged my firearm toward the floor, in hopes it would scare the men away.

‘I genuinely believed I was going to die. The only reasonable conclusion is that they were there to kill me.’

It is not believed that the suspects were able to take anything from Wood’s home, and there weren’t any injuries reported.

Wood’s original filing continued by claiming that the former NBA star did not ‘feel not feel safe in his own home’ following the break-in.

As a result, the court granted Wood a temporary restraining order which requires Lopez to remain 100 yards away from both him and their son Kobe.

However, in a separate court filing, Lopez denied any involvement in the attempted break-in and claimed she discovered the news on the day that it happened.

On December 12th, she filed a petition for a own restraining order against Wood.

A hearing has been set for January 14, where the court will hear both sides.
