Former Chelsea defender David Luiz has called in the lawyers after being accused of threatening a social worker by saying he would ‘make her disappear’ after she declined to have a threesome with him.
Luiz, 38, has been issued with a restraining order by a Brazilian court due to his alleged intimidation of Francisca Karollainy Barbosa Cavalcante, 26.
While the former Blues centre-back denies making any threats towards – or ever having met her – he has admitted to messaging her on Instagram. Luiz is also understood to have begun legal proceedings.
Miss Cavalcante informed police of receiving threatening messages on Instagram from Luiz shortly after their alleged affair came to an end.
They were purportedly sent after she claimed to have rejected a threesome involving him, which ended in a fiery argument.
Luiz, who is currently engaged to his girlfriend Bruna Loureiro, is accused of warning Miss Cavalcante about his ‘money and power’.

Luiz, 38, is engaged to Bruna Loureiro (pictured) with whom he has two daughters
Screenshots allegedly sent by him captured one message which is claimed to have warned her that her son could ‘pay the consequences’.
Meanwhile, a third threat is claimed to have stated: ‘I can simply make you disappear.’
Miss Cavalcante also said Luiz offered her £14,000 after she came forward with the allegations – after which she claims he told her ‘to disappear from his life’ and added that she refused the payout.
He then allegedly repeated his threats and told her she would not live long, according to the police report on the allegations, with Miss Cavalcante havimg also shared screenshots with Brazilian police.
She claimed the messages made her feel that the lives of her and her son were under direct threat due to Luiz’s behaviour.
After she went public with her claims, Miss Cavalcante says she felt as though as she was being watched and forced to change hotels several times.
Former Arsenal defender Luiz released a statement, which read: ‘I never threatened anyone, I never threatened this person. I was never with this person physically, I was never at the hotel they say I was at.’
Local media reports claim that the social worker first met Luiz after he contacted her online and invited her to stay in a hotel in Fortaleza, in the state of Ceara, in north-eastern Brazil.

He later shared a statement on social media where he denied having met Cavalcante in person
Her lawyer, Fabiano Tavora, claims the hotels ended up costing nearly £140 per night with Luiz covering those expenses.
Less than 24 hours after the police report was filed, a restraining order was issued to protect Miss Cavalcante.
Luiz, who now plays for Cypriot side Pafos, has since denied ever meeting Miss Cavalcante.
His communications team added that legal proceedings are now underway.
