- Collingwood skipper and radio star debuted romance last year
- She made headlines with woke take on their living arrangements
Collingwood captain Darcy Moore’s radio star girlfriend Dee Salmin has dubbed Christmas ‘friendsmas’ in a yuletide message that will only add to her reputation as the wokest WAG in Australia.
On Friday, the Triple M radio host took to Instagram to post a photo showing her and Moore dressed to the nines, accompanied by the caption ‘just a casual friendsmas’.
The term refers to spending the festive holiday with your mates, but it also removes the religious overtones of the holiday season by dropping the ‘Christ’ reference.
Salmin and Moore have been together when they were pictured holding hands at the Moulin Rouge premiere in Melbourne last August, before they went fully public as a couple at the 2023 Brownlow Medal and ARIA awards ceremony.
In July she stunned footy fans with an incredibly woke explanation for why she doesn’t want to live with the premiership-winning star.
‘I don’t live with my partner at the moment and we have such different, independent, busy lives,’ she said on the ABC show Ladies, We Need To Talk… Back.

‘We get to have so much of what we had when we were still single in our relationship.
‘But I wonder how much you can actually upkeep that when you do end up living together.
‘So much of it is hetero-dynamic learnt behaviours that you might fall into.’
Salmin used the five-word term to indicate that she and Moore don’t conform to the heterosexual gender stereotype of women taking on the bulk of housework and domestic duties when they live with a partner.
She was backed up by the show’s host, TV star turned radio personality and author Yumi Stynes, who said living together would lead to ‘domestic drudgery’ that’s ‘not sexy’ and asked if Salmin thought all couples should live separately.
‘I’m going to be doing it for as long as possible,’ Salmin said.
‘I also said to my partner we are going to have separate bedrooms [if/when they live together].’
Collingwood fans had mixed reactions to Salmin’s comment, with some even linking Salmin’s comments to Moore’s performance woes – which led to footy analyst Kane Cornes boldly calling for him to be dropped to the VFL this season.
Others simply found Salmin’s interview confusing due to her use of head-scratching, progressive terminology.
Salmin (pictured with Moore after the Pies’ 2023 grand final win) recently posted a cheeky comeback after trolls slammed her online
One furious fan wrote online: ‘No wonder Darcy Moore is playing so badly. His head is full of woke, politically correct, feminist rubbish.’
‘This bloke has to be the wokest footballer in history,’ another commented.
‘Looking forward to the “heteronormative learned patriarch behaviour round”,’ wrote one fan with their tongue firmly in cheek.
Last month, Salmin hit back at footy trolls with a funny five-word statement in a social media post.
She shared a photo to Instagram of her and Darcy attending the Brownlow Medal ceremony in Melbourne, along with a comment she had received from a troll.
‘Darcy has money, fame and elite football skills, yet traded his gonads to a feminist witch,’ the troll wrote.
Salmin played a cover of the 1972 Eagles classic Witchy Woman over her post and captioned it with some classy words – saying she was ‘immortalising’ the ‘gonads’ remark as ‘the highest compliment I’ve ever received’.
It seems Salmin really did get a thrill out of the remark as she has now edited her Instagram bio to call herself ‘a gonad stealing feminist witch’.
