Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has come under fire for the second time for his appearance at the Hawthorn versus GWS elimination final on Saturday.
After being booed while sitting in the stands, vision has now emerged of the PM meeting Hawthorn coach Sam Mitchell and snapping a quick selfie with him.
The Hawthorn Football Club posted the short video of the Prime Minister posing with Hawks coach Sam Mitchell and taking a selfie ahead of their do-or-die elimination final against GWS.
The club captioned the video ‘coach always has time for his fans’ and also cheekily wrote ‘The most powerful man in Australia … and Albo.’
After snapping the pic, Albanese abruptly walked out of the room with his prized selfie.
Mitchell then gave a confused look and shrugged, which had footy supporters hitting social media in droves.

‘No hand shake though just left,’ one fan posted.
‘Gets what he wants and buggers off. Sam’s reaction says it all,’ added another.
‘Should be banned from the rooms,’ fumed another.
Fans accused the Prime Minister of caring more about his selfie collection than the Hawks coach and their finals campaign.
‘That’s about Albo’s #1 concern – ensuring his selfie collection is constantly expanded,’ one posted.
Another said: ‘Could of gave Sam a handshake and said congratulations on the win!! Not just get his pic then run.’
‘Policitics and sport should never mix,’ posted another.
There were also calls for the Hawks to revoke Albanese’s membership and plenty of anger over the current cost of living crisis.

It capped off a difficult day for the PM, who was also booed by fans during the Hawks’ elimination final win over GWS.
Spectators jeered as the PM made his way to his seat, with the reaction impossible to miss on the broadcast.
The negative reception came despite Albanese’s long-declared support of the Hawks, with clips of the booing moment quickly circulated online.
The Hawks will now travel to Adelaide to take on the Crows in another elimination final.
Hawthorn have lost six of their last seven matches at Adelaide Oval, where their 2024 campaign ended in a heartbreaking three-point defeat to Port Adelaide.
The Hawks were beaten there by Adelaide as recently as round 21, but Newcombe insists his teammates hold no fears about the venue.
‘I quite like going to Adelaide Oval,’ he said.
‘It’s a pretty cool venue with the old scoreboard and it’s always full of passionate fans when you go over to Adelaide.
‘I’m not sure what the underlying factor is there.’
Teammate Mabior Chol said there was a different feeling about their prospects after last year’s loss.
‘As a football club, last year was probably more just trying to get there,’ he said
‘But now as a group, we believe that we belong out there now on the big stage.
‘For us, now it’s more about how we can prepare well for games and get the result we want.
‘We are definitely ready to go one step closer this year.’
