An ESPN cameraman has been accused of ‘shoving’ a female sports reporter following LSU’s win over Clemson on Saturday.

LSU secured a 17-10 win over No 4 Clemson on a dramatic first weekend of the new college football season.

After the game, which was broadcast live on ABC, an ESPN crew member ‘put their hands’ on a woman ‘half their size’.

That is according to Chessa Bouche, a sports reporter for Louisiana First News, who hit out at her treatment following the game at ‘Death Valley’.

In a furious statement on social media, she wrote: ‘To the @espn camera guy who shoved me after the game (because) I was in your way.

‘All you had to do was say something, not physically put your hands on a female who is half your size.

‘There’s a thing called mutual respect in this industry and I’m solo doing the work of multiple people while y’all have crews for every game. Maybe next time just say hey move. Do better man!’

Many fans and fellow journalists sent messages of support to Bouche on social media, condemning the alleged behavior of the cameraman.

‘That’s so gross… sorry that happened to you,’ one wrote. ‘@ESPN rectify this immediately. Anything could have happened, that’s how people get hurt!

‘Sounds like you need some courtesy and respect training for your field crews !!!’

Another journalist replied to Bouche: ‘Shouldn’t be touching ANYONE! Just because you have “right of way” doesn’t mean you pull “rank”.

‘Had some guy at a HS (high school) tournament yank me back by my camera battery last year… things would have gotten ugly if he pulled it out.’

Daily Mail Sport has contacted ESPN for comment.
