The family of a 23-year-old man who died after being hit by a car said they would “love him and miss him for the rest of our lives”.
Greater Manchester Police said officers were called to reports of a collision on Lower Bents Lane in Stockport at about 22:20 BST on Friday.
The force said a pedestrian, Joel Sheldon, was taken to hospital but died the following day.
In a statement, his family said: “Our beautiful son Joel was caring, kind, and loved by everyone that knew him.”
The family added: “He smiled constantly and loved life. His energy was infectious and the outpouring of love for him has made us so immensely proud.”
Police have appealed for anyone with information or dashcam, CCTV or doorbell footage to contact them.
