Manchester United have been hit with another two-star food hygiene rating after more mouse droppings were discovered at Old Trafford.
United saw their rating plummet from four stars to two back in November and the following months have been spent working to restore it.
But Mail Sport has seen the inspection report from environmental health experts – completed in mid-April – which details the findings of mouse droppings in seven areas across the stadium.
Droppings were discovered in, among other places, the Ambassador Lounge, in the Manchester Suite, and in the Number 7 suite, with some of those noted to have been ‘under the buffet bar’.
The No 7 suite, described on the club’s own website as ‘one of the most stylish spaces’ in the Sir Bobby Charlton Stand, with prices starting from £550 per person.
The Manchester Suite, where the report adds a ‘large number of droppings’ were discovered, comes in at around £600 per person when the price of the box is divided.

A Manchester United spokesperson said: ‘Manchester United implements a robust pest-control system throughout Old Trafford.
‘Multiple weekly checks are made in all catering areas and stringent measures are taken to ensure levels of hygiene and cleanliness are high wherever food is stored, prepared and served.
‘If incidences of this nature do occur at the stadium, immediate and appropriate action is taken.’
Old Trafford’s lack of modernisation, along with the fact that more than 250,000 people eat at the stadium’s luxury restaurants each season, presents huge challenges.
There are 29 kitchens and catering facilities operated from Old Trafford and mistakes in any of them can impact the overall food hygiene rating.
Other concerns flagged include ‘dirty’ areas and the labelling of certain food products. One such example was a container of pesto with a ‘one-month’ label on it, despite manufacturer instructions to use within eight days.
Both of those issues are understood to be being addressed immediately.
Inspectors noted that despite once again handing out a two-star review, they noted that ‘it is evident that significant work has taken place to control the mice activity on site’.
One of their many recommendations was that United ‘needs to persevere with the measures being implemented to eradicate activity within food areas.’
Trafford Council has been contacted for further comment.
