Former Liverpool star Luis Diaz continued his blistering start to life in Germany as he scored inside 14 seconds for his new club on Saturday.
After three-and-a-half years with the Reds, Diaz left in the summer in a £65.5millon move that saw him join up with Vincent Kompany’s Bundesliga champions for the upcoming campaign.
He has scored five goals in 10 games so far, having nailed down a spot on the left of the side’s attack, supporting the likes of Harry Kane.
On Saturday afternoon, Bundesliga leaders Bayern were taking on Frankfurt in league action, and they got off to the perfect start when Diaz was on the scoresheet in mere seconds.
Bayern kicked off the game and Manuel Neuer went long from his own goal, with Kane flicking on a header.
Former Arsenal man Serge Gnabry then capitalised on a defensive mix-up, and hit the byline to cross low for Colombian Diaz.

He set up England captain Harry Kane a matter of minutes later to continue his fine form

Diaz’s former side Liverpool toiled at Chelsea at the same time, trailing at the half time break
Diaz slid in and the ball was in the back of the net – but his work wasn’t done there.
Kane continued his sensational form with his 18th goal of the season in just his 10th game, with Diaz on hand to assist the England captain.
It came at the same time as Liverpool’s trip to Chelsea in the Premier League, with Arne Slot’s Liverpool behind at half time following Moises Caicedo’s strike, but hitting back through Cody Gakpo.
And the Reds’ new look attack have struggled to click this term. Though new signing Hugo Ekitike has been in good form, Alexander Isak is yet to score in the Premier League, while Mohamed Salah and Cody Gakpo have experienced drops in form.
Florian Wirtz, meanwhile, has lost his place in the Reds team.
Diaz spoke about his new side in the week, telling BILD: ‘The team makes it very easy for me on the pitch. We have a lot of great players, especially up front, who don’t just think about scoring goals themselves, but also help their teammates.
‘That gives me a lot of security and confidence. It’s incredible to play attacking games with them. They have so much quality! I will give my all to score a lot of goals and assists. How many I get is in God’s hands. But above all, I want to win every competition with the team.
‘I’m really very, very happy and I’m feeling better and more comfortable all the time. The whole team is helping me. The dressing room is cohesive, pleasantly calm, and down-to-earth. It’s very family-like.
‘That, and the trust the coach immediately gave me, were very important for my great start here in Munich.’
