Iliman Ndiaye had the honour of scoring Everton’s first ever goal at Hill Dickinson Stadium as he found the net against Brighton.
Ndiaye scored in the 23rd minute after being set up by Jack Grealish.
In May Ndiaye also scored the final goal for Everton at Goodison Park as he hit a brace against Southampton.
The assist was also a significant moment for Grealish, who is looking to play regularly again after joining on loan from Manchester City.
Grealish was making his second appearance for Everton after featuring as a substitute against Leeds on Monday.
Speaking before the game, Everton boss David Moyes stated that he was ‘privileged’ to be in charge for the club’s first game at their new stadium.

Moyes told Sky Sports: ‘It’s remarkable. A day in history. Thankfully we’ve got a fantastic new stadium, we now must get a team to match it. I’m hugely privileged. For me to be back as a manager here is a great thrill for me. I’m the fortunate one who gets to lead the team out here.’
Everton had been at Goodison Park since 1892 but have now moved into their new home, which has a capacity of 52,769.
