Everton have revived interest in Aston Villa winger Jaden Philogene.
The 22-year-old rejected Everton and Ipswich in the summer to return to Villa from Hull City but is available this window with Everton exploring a permanent deal.
Philogene has made 15 appearances across all competitions for Villa this season, but has largely been used off the bench by Unai Emery.
He could now get the opportunity for more game time at Goodison Park as the Toffees aim to secure their Premier League status ahead of moving into their new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock this summer.
Goals have been hard to come by for Sean Dyche’s men this term, with only bottom club Southampton finding the net fewer times in 2024-25.
Indeed, Everton have failed to score in eight of their last 10 league matches, and are now just one point above the bottom three.

The Merseyside club need more in the final third if they are to stay up, and have turned their attention to Philogene in a bid to fix their creativity issues.
Everton return to action on Thursday night when they host Peterborough in the third round of the FA Cup.
They then face Aston Villa – Philogene’s current club – in the Premier League next Wednesday.
