Erling Haaland gave fans a glimpse into his incredible 6,000-calorie diet after Man City’s 4-0 win over Newcastle on Saturday afternoon.
After City’s crucial result, which saw them leapfrog Chelsea and move up to fourth in the Premier League table, Haaland shared an image on social media of his post-match meal.
The two-time Golden Boot winner posted a photo of him holding what appeared to be a half-eaten lamb chop, captioned: ‘Small feast after game.’
Whatever he’s been up to in the kitchen seems to be working. Although Haaland failed to score on Saturday, he has still netted the second-most goals in the Premier League this season (19), behind only Mohamed Salah (22).
He has also scored more league goals than any other player in England’s top-flight since landing in Manchester – and by a gargantuan margin too.
Haaland has bagged 82 goals since the start of the 2022-23 campaign. The next closest player is Salah with 59.

It takes a lot to fuel the most dangerous striker in England. With 6,000 calories a day to devour, it can’t all be left to clean living.
Cow hearts and livers can often be found on the menu – as referenced in Haaland: The Big Decision – the documentary made around his move to Manchester City.
But don’t be surprised if you see the gigantic Norwegian lumbering around your local kebab shop, like a Scandinavian facsimile of Luke Littler.
‘I really like kebab (meat),’ Haaland said, before clarifying: ‘I love it.’
‘That doesn’t mean I eat it all the time. I eat it a couple of times a year when I’m in my hometown – I almost never eat it, but it’s still my favourite food.’
His craving for meat doesn’t stop there. Alongside kebabs, Haaland, 24, has a penchant for steak, lobsters, oysters, duck, Indian food, and Chinese sweet and sour chicken.
He has also been known to request cheese and ham omelettes from City’s culinary whizzes at the training ground.
As he revealed in the documentary: ‘You other people don’t eat this [heart and liver], but I am concerned with taking care of my body.

Haaland drinks plenty of milk, which the Norwegian once referred to as his ‘magic potion’
‘I think eating quality food that is as local as possible is the most important.
‘Or the local cow eating grass right over there? I eat the heart and the liver.
‘The first thing I do in the morning is to get some sunlight in my eyes — it is good for circadian rhythm.
‘I have also started to filtrate my water a bit. I think it can have great benefits for my body.’
Oh, and don’t forget milk. The boy likes his milk. Last season, he called it his ‘magic potion’.
