Gwendlyn said she’s ‘not really part of the FLDS community anymore’ and focused her first video on the episode in which Christine told Kody that she was going to leave him.
In late 2021, Christine, shocked the world by announcing that she was moving away from the family and officially splitting from Kody, after growing tension over the way he treated his fourth wife, Robyn, came to a head.
‘That was a really hard conversation to watch,’ Gwendlyn said of the conversation, sharing what she thought about her mom making the decision to leave Kody and move from Flagstaff, Arizona to Salt Lake City, Utah.

Honest: The 21-year-old shared her reaction to the most recent season of Sister Wives, letting her viewers know that she ‘doesn’t like’ her father’s fourth wife Robyn (2R) ; Brown, 53, pictured with former wives Christine, Janelle, and Meri, and current wife Robyn in 2010
‘I was like, “You’re leaving? Good for you!” She told me she was moving and divorcing my father at the same time, so I was all hype for her,’ she stated.
‘Obviously, I love her and obviously, I visit her all the time, but she was going home and I was happy for her. And I didn’t really love the relationship that they had. And she’s doing really great now.’
‘Inside I was like freaking out, “This is amazing, this is good for her,”‘
‘She’s finally gonna be – not free because she wasn’t really trapped – but free is the best word I can honestly use. I was so happy for her. It was sad to see her stuck in Flagstaff where she wasn’t thriving as I would have hoped she would be.’

Her thoughts: After she finished watching the episode, she answered fan questions, including one that wondered if watching the show made her feel differently about her father or Robyn

Not a fan: ‘I feel less about Robyn from watching this, but I feel like that’s not very fair from me because I don’t really like her as a person,’ she said

Introspective: ‘So it’s probably not a completely valid response. But watching her makes me like her less, for sure’

The TV lothario’s pool of lovers recently dwindled to just one spouse, after Meri Brown confirmed their split after a 32-year ‘spiritual’ marriage.
Meri, 51, who starred alongside Kody on hit TLC show alongside his three other spouses, revealed Kody had made the decision to end their romance.
In a clip from upcoming special Sister Wives: One on One, obtained by People, Kody – who recently split from Janelle – says: ‘I don’t consider myself married to Meri, and if she wanted to move on and marry another, she wouldn’t get in an argument with me.
The split from Meri means that Kody is down to one wife – his only legal bride – Robyn, who he married in 2010.

Big family: Gwendlyn is one of Kody’s 18 children, and one of his six with Christine; (L-R) Janelle, Christine, Kody, Meri and Robyn in 2015
While only one of his four marriages is technically official – having more than one spouse is not legal in the US – Kody, who has said it’s ‘God’s testimony’ for him to have numerous spouses, calls his other partners his ‘spiritual wives.’
Kody first rose to fame in 2010, on the show which documented life with his four wives, Meri, Christine, Robyn and Janelle (who was also his stepsister). It also showcased some of the many struggles that come with being married to multiple women at the same time.
However, along the way, the Mormon reality star and his four wives faced a series of problems – stemming from jealousy over who Kody liked most, and leading to bitter rivalries between the women over his attention – all of which, was put on display for the world to see throughout the 17 seasons of their show.

Last one standing: Robyn is currently Kody’s only legal bride, after he recently split from first wife Meri, and after both Christine and Janelle left him
