The Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Benefit, also known as the Met Gala, is considered by many to be the ‘Super Bowl of celebrity red carpets’.

Fashion’s biggest night is traditionally held on the first Monday in May to raise money for the Costume Institute in New York City, with last year’s event moved to September due to the Covid pandemic.

This year’s dress code is ‘gilded glamour’ to match the theme of ‘In America: An Anthology of Fashion’, a continuation of last year’s ‘In America: A Lexicon of Fashion’.

Tickets for the glitzy event can reportedly cost up to $35,000 apiece, while prices for a table range from $200,000 to $300,000, with last year’s bash raking in a whopping $16.4million for the Met’s Costume Institute.

In popular American teen drama series Euphoria, Jacob plays Nate Jacobs, a high school quarterback who struggles with an abusive father and soon becomes a terrifying villain in his own right.

Prior to his appearance on Euphoria, Brisbane-born Jacob became a teen heart-throb in the 2018 movie The Kissing Booth.

The movie was so unexpectedly successful that it became a trilogy.

On February 4, HBO officially renewed Euphoria for a third season after an eye-popping 14 million viewers tuned into the second season premiere on January 9, which also stars Zendaya as troubled teen Rue Bennett.

On February 3, Variety announced that Jacob had wrapped his next role as serial killer Bobby Falls in Jeffrey Darling’s feature directorial debut He Went That Way opposite Zachary Quinto.

The 1964-set true crime thriller is based on Conrad Hilberry’s 1987 book Luke Karamazov and the real-life account of celebrity animal trainer Dave Pitts.
