Good Morning Britain star is ‘gutted’ after ITV show is axed after just two series since launching in 2021
A Good Morning Britain star has revealed he is ‘gutted’ after hearing the news that an ITV show has been axed after just two series.
Alex Beresford, who co-hosts All About Britain alongside Rita Hebden, 40, revealed the show has been ditched after it ‘failed to make a lasting impression with viewers’.
The weatherman, 42, told The Sun: ‘We had a brilliant time exploring and celebrating places such as Blackpool, The Eden Project in Cornwall and Edinburgh but we won’t be making any more episodes.
‘It’s not all bad news, though, with a new project on the horizon.
‘However I am working on another project for ITV, details of which will be revealed shortly.’

The programme, which launched in 2021, saw the presenters explore the Channel Islands, from ancient castles to the walls of Jersey’s capital, St Helier.
Meanwhile, viewers can be excited to see Alex appear alongside his father Noel for Celebrity Race Across The World, starting on September 13.
Celebs will have to make it to the finish line thousands of miles away without the use of air travel or modern technology, just as in the civilian version of the series. Alex will join McFly drummer Harry Judd, All Saints singer Melanie Blatt and racing driver Billy Monger on the journey across the globe, each bringing a family member.
Alex, who married Imogen McKay in October after they began dating in August 2020, shared a series of sweet throwback snaps.
The pictures included a loved-up shot of the couple on holiday in Deia, Majorca, after his proposal on New Year’s Day last year, a close-up of the ring and a joyful photograph of the newlyweds after their nuptials.
Alex asked Imogen to marry him in a cove as they enjoyed a New Year’s break together.

They decided to return to Majorca for their wedding in October, enjoying a lavish celebration with their nearest and dearest.
Alex captioned the post: ‘On this morning last year as the sun lit up a beautiful little cove in Deia I got down on one knee and asked Imogen to marry me and 9 months later we had the most amazing day.’
Alex and Imogen began dating in August 2020 after a mutual friend set them up on a blind date.
He told HELLO! magazine: ‘I’d been on my own for a while and was ready for a new relationship. But I was adamant I didn’t want to try a dating website.
‘I’m of an age where before social media, you met a girl, took her phone number and called to invite her out.’
He explained that he asked a friend if she knew anyone he would get on with, to which she replied: ‘I do – but she’s way too good for you’.
The presenter said he laughed along and told her “She’s the one that I want!”
