Summary

Businesses have the opportunity to apply for a maximum grant of up to £5,000 to upskill their existing employees.

Eligibility criteria

Businesses should be based in the Antrim and Newtownabey Borough Council area.

Eligible employees include those who are

  • working part-time (16 hrs or less) and seeking career growth
  • at risk of redundancy and needing a new pathway
  • looking to upskill into advanced roles

Micro, small, and medium sized businesses can apply for the fund. 

Additional information

Antrim and Newtownabbey Labour Market Partnership (LMP), funded by the Department for Communities, is offering local businesses the opportunity to apply for a maximum grant of up to £5,000 to upskill existing employees and ease some of the challenges of sourcing appropriately skilled labour.

Organisations who represent or support businesses can apply on behalf of a number of businesses.

The deadline for applications is Friday 12 September 2025.
