Emma and Chris’ love story began through the modern ways of social media. On a serendipitous Tinder date in August 2015, fate intervened, revealing mutual friends and sparking a journey that would lead them to the most special day of their lives. Fast forward over five wonderful years, and on a rainy yet magical day in Hythe, Chris proposed to Emma. This set the stage for a beautiful wedding on the 29th of October 2022 at the stunning Morden Hall.

The Proposal

After five years of dating, Chris and Emma went on a romantic night away to Hythe. Chris had meticulously planned to propose on a beach, but unpredictable English weather diverted his original plans. With torrential rain drenching the day, the beach proposal transformed into an intimate moment in a cozy restaurant. And to make this moment truly memorable, a lovely couple sat nearby sent over a bottle of champagne to toast to their love.

The Planning

The planning journey was an 18-month venture filled with careful selections of vendors and the loving details that made their day so special. Navigating through the uncertainties and adjustments thanks to Covid-19, Emma and Chris found creative ways to set up meetings and make choices that reflected their unique style.

The Venue

After a visit to Morden Hall, Emma and Chris were immediately captivated and knew this was their ideal wedding venue. They loved its exclusivity and the spacious layout to accommodate their loved ones. Emma was particularly drawn to the dressing room and could picture her and her bridesmaids all getting picture ready. The allure of the rooms and the breathtaking garden and courtyard sealed the deal for their venue choice. The choice of autumnal colours for flowers complemented the boho-classic theme, harmonising with a palette of white, pearl grey, and rose gold for signs and stationary.

The Fashion

Emma dazzled in a Justin Alexander Adore dress from Bromley Brides, altered to perfection by Velma Simon. Her veil was a delicate piece from Lace and Favour, and she included beautiful jewellery from Astley Clarke and Goldsmiths. Her look was completed by Rosie Hart with a chic half-up hairstyle that complimented the boho theme of the wedding and soft, elegant make-up to enhance her natural beauty.

Chris looked sharp in a suit from French Eye, Christian Louboutin shoes, and Mulberry cufflinks, all tied together with a ring from Goldsmiths. Accompanying Chris were his groomsman, dashingly besuited in classic tuxedos with braces from Impeccable Wear in Harrow. The ladies looked spectacular, wearing long, flutter sleeve dresses from David’s Bridal in a harmonious shade of mercury.

The Entertainment

The ceremony was adorned with a heartfelt reading of “Maybe and The Art Of Marriage”. Chris and Emma’s first dance as a married couple was ‘Just The Way You Are’ by Barry White, followed by ‘Something Just Like This’ by Coldplay and The Chainsmokers. In the evening, everyone danced the night away with the help of Steelasophical, Thom Music and Surrey Events, ensuring an unfaltering celebration.

The memorable moments didn’t stop there! Chris and Emma also had a casino, bringing everyone together to watch on in anticipation and hopefully, triumph.

The Food

The ceremony was followed by a delectable Mediterranean-inspired feast. Their delicious menu consisted of canapés, a Mediterranean platter, a classic herb roasted chicken breast, enticing toasted gnocchi and a succulent sticky toffee pudding for dessert. A special touch was the Rum Punch favours – the couple had a cocktail station set up for post-wedding breakfast, adding a lively note to the festivities.
