Boy George has admitted to embracing artificial intelligence as a songwriting tool.

The Culture Club star, 64, delved into his writing process in a new episode of Fearne Cotton’s podcast Happy Place.

Speaking to the author, George said: “Practice has really helped me as the lyricist, plus A.I. You’re not working with anyone else, you don’t have to worry even for two seconds about what they think.

“I’m a top-line writer… all the people I work with… they send me tracks, and I’ll just sit with them and do what I need to do, and I’ll just play it and play it. I have fantastic conversations with ChatGPT, and I’ll say oh, that’s crap. That’s not what I would say.”
