Draymond Green names NBA player who ‘destroyed’ him in playoffs

Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green has named Pascal Siakam as the player who ‘destroyed’ him in an NBA playoff matchup.

With the Warriors eliminated from the postseason, Green is helping the NBA on TNT crew with their broadcasts.

The controversial star was behind the desk on Friday night for Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals and gave props to Siakam, who helped the Indiana Pacers win both road games this week over the New York Knicks.

Green started his shoutout of Siakam by saying that Julius Randle outplayed him during Golden State’s series loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves earlier this month.

‘I lost my matchup to Julius Randle. The only other time I really felt like I lost my matchup in a series was against Pascal Siakam. He destroyed me,’ Green said.

Green and Siakam have only met in a postseason series once, in the 2019 NBA Finals.

That championship-series was contested between the Warriors and the Toronto Raptors, with the Canadian side winning an NBA title in six games.

The Warriors came into that series as the two-time defending NBA champions and were shocked by the Raptors, thanks in large part to Siakam.

Kawhi Leonard and Kyle Lowry also played huge roles in bringing an NBA title to outside of the United States for the first time.

It was Siakam taking down one of the best players on the other side that helped disrupt the dynasty.

Green, 35, is known as one of the best defensive players of his generation, giving Siakam tons of credit for a rare head-to-head defeat.
