Tyreek Hill’s hot-and-cold relationship with the Miami Dolphins has other teams reportedly monitoring the All-Pro wide receiver as he begins his fourth season in South Florida.
‘I have talked to a few teams who are at least monitoring his future a little bit,’ ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported on the Worldwide Leader. ‘Could he be a potential trade target?’
Known for his jaw-dropping speed and a growing flock of a dozen or so children, Hill’s third season in Miami was a major departure from his first two, both of which ended with All-Pro honors.
Although he managed to play in all 17 games for the injury-plagued Dolphins, Hill’s production dropped from a league-best 112.4 receiving yards a game in 2023 to just 56.4 yards a game last season. As a result, he went from 13 touchdowns to just six while finishing with fewer than 1,000 receiving yards for the first time since 2019.
Worst of all, the 31-year-old ended the season by making a cryptic trade demand (‘I’m out bro’) before walking back those comments as the team neglected to pull a deal.
‘Now, I know the Dolphins earlier this summer were telling teams, ‘No, we’re not trading Tyreek Hill,’ Folwer said on SportsCenter. ‘But they just wonder, is he going to be available?

‘It could be wishful thinking, maybe they want him to be available. But he’s a player, when I bring up to teams, ‘Hey, who is sort of a trade target you’re watching?’ — they bring up Tyreek Hill. So, we’ll see.’
For now, Hill is working to repair his relationships in Miami – particularly with Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who was bothered by the receiver’s trade request.
‘When you say something like that you don’t just come back with ‘My bad.’ You gotta work that relationship up. He is working on himself,’ Tagovailoa told reporters when asked about Hill’s fiery comments earlier this month.
Hill has seemed to agree.
‘I think Tua’s comments were needed,’ the wideout admitted at Dolphins’ training camp on Friday. ‘He’s obviously the leader of our team. He sets the standard.
‘I’m just trying to be the best teammate and best version of myself for this team [that] I can be. Coming out here everyday and busting my tail in practice. I think it’s important I want to be able to leave a legacy.’
As Fowler sees it, Hill remains a ‘big option’ for Tagovailoa, but that doesn’t mean a potential trade is off the table.
While Hill’s relationships in the NFL are a work in progress, the one with his estranged wife is seemingly beyond repair.

Hill hurled a laptop onto the floor and was ‘aggressive and impulsive’ according to Vaccaro’s mother Alesia – but police determined that ‘no crime was committed’.
An astonishing 78 court documents have been submitted since then as the estranged couple bicker over spousal support and access to their seven-month-old daughter Capri.
Vaccaro’s lawyers took aim at Hill in an April 17 filing that claimed he had ‘no sincere desire to spend time with the baby, to assume parental responsibilities … or to be personally involved with the baby’.
The gridiron phenom’s real objective, claimed attorneys Evan Marks and Carolyn West, was ‘coercion and control.’
Hill has accused her of stealing from him and moving her family into his home without permission, while her attorneys have denied those claims, stating that the income was marital property, as defined by Florida law.
